Howe Sound At Night

Howe Sound at night

I love long exposures. They take a while to set up properly and even longer to get a satisfactory shot, but it’s worth the patience.

The ski runs of Cypress Mountain are to the left, and the lights of West Vancouver and Vancouver to the right. There’s a tugboat or some other smallish vessel cruising through the inlet and leaving behind a light streak. I shot this at 9:38pm on Thursday night and just missed catching the last ferry run from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale by about 30 seconds, but I’ll try again next time.
