Eric and Ali at Lake Scranton

Eric and Ali
Mr. and Mrs. Cannon

Aren’t these two cute? I seldom say ‘cute’ unless I’m talking about kidlets or baby animals, but Eric and Ali make one cute couple. Ali’s wedding dress was gorgeous, too, and normally I’m not a fan of most styles of wedding dress. She made a great choice in this one.

I dropped off the film to get developed today and put on CD, but they were short-staffed at the lab and won’t be done until tomorrow. Ah, well. In the meantime, I went home and took a two-hour nap to feel more human after the trip home last night and today’s work presentation.

I feel many hours away from catching up on sleep, but thought I should be diligent about archiving all my photos for peace of mind before I begin any post-processing on the wedding pictures. Especially since last night when I was just about to leave Niagara Falls to cross the border, I discovered too late that my last film roll didn’t load properly and I lost about 10 shots from Lake Scranton, a few from yesterday’s trip to the flea market, and the ones I’d just taken of the Niagara River with the Pentax. It made my stomach drop a little because I have a feeling that the Lake Scranton pictures would’ve turned out better than the ones at the church. I suppose I’ll never know for sure and there’s nothing I can do about it now but hope the one properly-exposed roll did indeed expose properly. It’ll be the first batch out of the camera since it was fixed, so I’ll see if the overhaul had any effect on the Pentax’s output.

After I found out all my shots of the river were gone, I loaded the camera again and went back to shoot a whole new roll before leaving again. (Just get back on that horse, Gail.) We’ll see how they turn out!

I didn’t really take many pictures of the wedding compared to what I normally do, but I was able to print some off at the reception with the portable photo printer which made the family pretty happy. That’s what counts!
